What changed, and when.
Every tool keeps its own changelog. This is all of them together, newest first, including the things a tool got wrong.
The privacy page promised too much
It said a pasted message was not kept beyond the request and not used for training. Anthropic’s terms rule out training but do not promise deletion, so the page and the note under the paste box now say so, and name Upstash, which counts requests.
Twelve city pairs have a page of their own
London to New York, Dubai, Sydney and nine more each have a page that opens on the hours both cities share, and says how the gap moves when the clocks change. Every time on them is checked against the same code the globe runs.
Three accessibility fixes
An automated sweep of every state found the note under the paste box too faint to read, the embed without a main heading, and two top-level headings on every page. All three are fixed, and the sweep now finds nothing.
Stricter security headers
Meridian now tells your browser to load nothing but its own files, the same policy the other tools already had.
Seven worked examples
Reverse VAT, adding VAT, 20%, 5%, the flat rate scheme, working out which rate was charged, and the VAT formula each have a page of their own, opening on a worked example.
Easier to read, and it speaks
The small grey text is darker. Pressing Sunset, or jumping straight to the light, now tells a screen reader the new time and what the scene shows.
Term-time pay
Tick Term time only to work out pay for school support staff the NJC Green Book way: the weeks you work plus the holiday they earn, as a share of the year.
Eight worked examples
Part-time salary, term-time pay, NHS pay, full-time equivalent, pro rata holiday, bank holidays, hourly rate and the offer check each have a page of their own.
Portion launched
Drag your working days against a full-time week to see the salary and holiday that go with them, holiday in hours first. Holiday rules and bank holidays checked against GOV.UK on 19 September.
Sieve launched
Open a CSV and see what would change: stray spaces, blank rows, duplicates. Approve one fix at a time, undo anything, and take away a cleaned file with a plain-English report. The file never leaves your browser.
Golden launched
Sunrise, sunset and golden hour for 207 towns, 202 of them in the UK, each with its own page, the week ahead and a calendar feed. Times are calculated from the sun’s position, not looked up.
Statement launched
Answer six plain questions about how your business uses AI and get a statement for your website, a proposal and your terms, dated and with a named owner. Rephrase is optional, and the privacy page says exactly what it sends.
Google Analytics removed
Until 17 September, Google Analytics received each page’s full address, which on Meridian holds the cities, date and time you were planning. It has gone. Visits are now counted with Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and is sent the page path only.
A more accurate sun
The sun’s position now allows for the equation of time, which moves solar noon by up to about a quarter of an hour either way across the year. Before this, the light on the globe could be out by that much.

A wider, honest margin on desktop
The desktop preview said it lands within about 3 characters of LinkedIn’s cut. LinkedIn on the web draws posts in each reader’s own font, so the honest margin is about 12, and the page now says so.

The phone preview measured the wrong size
On a narrow screen Fold measured the preview at its shrunk size, and could say a post did not fold when it did. It now measures the real layout: a 195-character post folds at the same place on every screen.
Fold launched
Paste a LinkedIn post and see where it is cut off on a phone and on a desktop, measured against real posts, with the margin of error beside it. Format the opening line and check it earns the tap.
Trade names match GOV.UK
The flat rate list now uses GOV.UK’s exact names and count: 54 published trades, plus the limited cost rate. Searching for restaurant or takeaway now finds catering, which it did not before.
Wrong figures from the custom rate box, fixed
For a few hours on launch day, typing a rate with a decimal into the custom box could give the wrong VAT: 17.5 was read as 17, and 4.5 as 45. Fixed the same evening, with a test that types each rate one key at a time, as a person does.
Levy launched
Add VAT, take it out, or work out the rate from two figures, with net, VAT and gross drawn as one bar. Rates checked against GOV.UK on 16 September.
Meridian launched
Add up to six cities, drag the sun around the globe and see who is at their desk, for a meeting of the length you choose. Paste a time someone suggested by email and Meridian finds it for you.
